The chest of Charlton Heston
A unique sculptural piece modeled on Colonel Taylor, hero of the original Planet of the Apes (1968), that follows the curves of his body with a soft length of lead. This figure on its wooden storage box is a sublime one-off work of art, originally among those presented by Kyotaro Hakamata at the 2016 void+ show “Standing Woman – Replica.” The artist apparently has many other works from the same series stored at his studio.
