Shadow reversal
Fabric is gathered in pleats and spray-painted with black across the diagonal. When spread out, wrapped around a canvas and fixed there it becomes a curtain, with black ridges, and hollows left white, highlights and shadows reversed like a film negative. The atmosphere of the room is projected onto this ominously closed curtain.
